Kolkata Knight Riders vs Mumbai Indians (19th April 2010)

Result: Kolkata Knight Riders won by 9 wkts

At last a consolation win for KKR. Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bat first. They have rested top 6 players including Sachin and Pollard from playing eleven for semifinal match and able to 133/8 in 20 over. Tiwary was the top scorer with 46. KKR chased the target losing only one wicket in 18 over. Ganguly scored 42 and Macllum was not out with 57. With this match the IPL3 league matches are over.

Murali Kartik was the Man of the Match, ourav Ganguly got the Kamaal catch award and Maximum sixes award.

Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals (17th April 2010)

Result: Kolkata Knight Riders won by 8 wkts

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 132/9 in 20 overs. Shane Watson was the top scorer of 44 from Royals. KKR started the chase with a must need win with high net run rate lost wicket of Gayle and McCullum in one over. Ganguly played a patience innings of 75 and well supported 45 from Cheteshwar Pujara helped to win the match in 17th overs. Now RR is the second team out from IPL3 while KKR need some luck and result from other matches to have a berth in semis.

Unadkat wss the Man of the Match for his fine bowling performance. Ganguly got the 'Kamaal catch' and the 'maximum sixes' award.

Chennai Superkings vs Kolkata Knight Riders (13th April 2010)

Result: Chennai Super Kings won by 9 wkts

Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bat first. But top order collapsed as they lost 4 wickets for 18 runs only. Angelo Mathews scored 48 which helped them to score 139/8 in 20 overs. Chasing the target Superkings lost the wicket of hayden early but Raina and Vijay scored unbeaten fifties to give their team a much needed win just in 14 overs. With this win Superkings moved to the second position of the point table with better Net Run Rate.

R.Ashwin was the MoM for his match winning bowling performance, Vijay got the 'Kamaal catch of the match' award and Raina got the 'maximum sixes award'.

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders (10th April 2010)

Result: Bangalore Royal Challengers won by 7 wkts

Bangalore Royal Challengers won the toss and elected to field first. KKR started the innings well. But after 7th over they started losig wickets in regular intervals and scored 160/9 in 20 overs. Brendon McCullum was top scorer with 45 while Vinay Kumar took 3 wickets for RCB. Chasing the target Kallis failed early but Dravid (52) and Uthhapa (52 from 22 balls) played brilliant innings to guide their team to victory.

Vinay Kumar wss the Man of the Match for taking 3 wickets. Anil Kumble got the Kamaal catch award while Maximum sixes award went to 'Robin Uthappa'.

Numbers that mattered, Match 43

61 Runs scored by Kolkata Knight Riders in the Powerplay, which equals their best performance in IPL 2010. Interestingly, the previous such occasion was also against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Kolkata on March 14.

22 Number of sixes hit by Robin Uthappa in IPL 2010. Now only Yusuf Pathan (23) is ahead of him.

22 Number of balls taken by Uthappa to score his fifty – the fastest fifty against Kolkata Knight Riders in all IPL matches. Ross Taylor had scored a 24-ball fifty at Centurion last year.
