3 Number of occasions on which a 200+ target has been successfully chased in the IPL. Kings XI Punjab followed Rajasthan Royals (beat Deccan in 2008 scoring 217-7) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (beat Kings XI Punjab in 2010 scoring 204-2).
4 Number of consecutive defeats after which Kings XI Punjab registered a win in the tournament
12 Mahela Jayawardene became the 12th batsman to score a hundred in IPL. He became the second Sri Lankan after Sanath Jayasuriya who made an unbeaten 114 against Chennai Super Kings in 2008. This was the fourth hundred in the 2010 edition after Yusuf Pathan, David Warner and Murali Vijay.
33 Runs conceded by Ravi Bopara in his third over (13th of the Kolkata innings). The sequence – 1, 6, 6, 6, 6, 5 wides, 2 wides, 1. Manoj Tiwary faced the first ball, while Chris Gayle faced the next four. This is the most expensive over in IPL history. Virender Sehwag had hit Andrew Symonds for 30 runs at Hyderabad in 2008, which was the previous most expensive over in IPL. Interestingly, that carnage had also come in the 13th over!
80 Runs scored by Kolkata batsmen between the 11th and 15th overs – the most by any side in IPL history.
