Result: Kolkata Knight Riders won by 24 runs

KKR won the toss and elected to bat first. With a splendid knock from Ganguly (88 from 54 balls) and David Hussey (31), they scored 181/6 in 20 overs. Deccan Chargers lost the wicket of Gilchrist early. Gibbs scored 50 and well supported 45 runs from Symonds. But the increasing pressure of asking run rate they lost wickets in crucial moments failing from the target by 25 runs.

Sourav Ganguly was declared as the Man of the match.
