Result: Delhi Daredevils won by 6 wkts

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat first but started the innings with the disaster note. Except Badrinath none of the batsman failed to impress and they were able to score 112/9 in 20 overs. Daredevils also lost some quick wickets initially, but Gambhir scored unbeaten 57 to lead his side a much needed victory in 19th over.

Gautam Gambhir was the Man of the Match for his match-winning fifty, Matthew Hayden won the award for the best catch, and Doug Bollinger collected the award for maximum sixes.
