Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bat first. But top order collapsed as they lost 4 wickets for 18 runs only. Angelo Mathews scored 48 which helped them to score 139/8 in 20 overs. Chasing the target Superkings lost the wicket of hayden early but Raina and Vijay scored unbeaten fifties to give their team a much needed win just in 14 overs. With this win Superkings moved to the second position of the point table with better Net Run Rate.
R.Ashwin was the MoM for his match winning bowling performance, Vijay got the 'Kamaal catch of the match' award and Raina got the 'maximum sixes award'.
