Result: Bangalore Royal Challengers won by 9 wkts
Deccan Chargers won the toss and elected to bat first, but very much poor show by the batsman let down the team again. The total team was all out for 83 in 19th over of the match. Anirudh Singh scored 40 while Venugopal Rao scored 24 and rest all performed miserably. Chasing the lowest target to win RCB completed the task in 14th over just losing wicket of Kallis and qualified for the Champions League T20.
Anil Kumble was the Man of the Match for his figures of 4/16, Jacques Kallis got the best catch award and Kevin Pietersen won the maximum sixes award.

3 Number of times Anil Kumble has taken four wickets in a match- first bowler to do so in IPL history.
5.19 The combined scoring rate of two teams is the second worst in all IPL matches. In the Rajasthan Royals – Kolkata Knight Riders match at Durban in 2009 the two teams scored at a run-rate of 5.14.
9 Number of Deccan batsmen, who failed to go beyond 5!

82 Deccan’s total – lowest by any team in this IPL. Rajasthan Royals were dismissed for 92 also against Royal Challengers at Bangalore on March 18. This was also Deccan’s lowest total in all IPL games, obliterating the 100 they made against Chennai in 2009.
