Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to field first. KXIp scored 192/3 in overs and Shaun Marsh being the top scorer of 88 and valuable contribution of 44 from Pathan. Superkings started the chase with slow and steady. Raina and Badrinath again contributed in building the innings and powerful hits by Dhoni towards end helped them to win the match in final over. With this win CSK has assured semi-final berth.

Dhoni was the MoM for his match winning knock under pressure. Shaun Marsh got the 'maximum sixes' award and Sudeep Tyagi received the 'kamaal catch' award.
