Result: Deccan Chargers won by 13 runs
Bangalore Royal Challengers won the toss and elected to field first. Steyn caused the damage to the top order of Chargers and Rohit sharma played a useful innings of 51 to help his team to score 151/6 in 20 overs. With a huge batting line, it was seemed RCB could win the match easily. But initial slow batting and wickets in regular intervals halted their scoring. Dravid top scored with 49 and again Uthappa played his cameo knock to reach the target. But 19th over bowled by harmeet Singh changed the complexion of the game. He took 2 wickets giving only 1 run and helping his team another win and keeping their semifinal hope alive.
Harmeet Singh was the MoM for his match turning spell, Suman got the 'kamaal catch of the match' award and Uthappa got the 'Maximum sixes' award.
