Kings XI Punjab won the toss and elected to bat first and put a decent total of 181/5 in 20 overs. Sangakara top scored with 45 while Bopra & Yuvraj contributed to build the innings. But poor fielding, dropped catches  let down KXIP again. Kevin Pietersen scored unbeaten 66 and quick fire by Uthapa (22 in 6 balls) helped RCB to win the match by 6 wickets.

Kevin Pietersen was declared as the Man of the Match.
