Mumbai Indian won the toss and elected to bat first. None of the batsman last long due to fine spell from Pathan and Chawla. Duminy was top scorer of 35 and Rayudu of 33. MI could manage only 154/9 in 20 overs. KXIP started well, Jayawardene scored 33 from 18 balls and Kumar Sangakkara played the captain's innings of 56 to guide their team to 3rd victory in IPL3.
Kumar Sangakkara was the Man of the Match for his knock of 56 runs off 42 balls.
