Result: Mumbai Indians won by 63 runs

Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 178/5 through a fine knock from Ambati Rayudu (55) with well well supported contribution from Sachin, Tiwary and Pollard. Deccan Chargers started well with some strokes from Gilchrist and Gibbs, but the middle order failed again and finally bundled out to 115 in 18 overs. This was the biggest defeat for Deccan Chargers in IPL3.

Ambati Rayudu was the MoM for his superb knock, Keiron Pollard got the 'kamaal catch of the match' award while Saurabh Tiwary won the 'maximum sixes' award.
