Deccan Chargers won the toss and elected to bat first and put 148/9 in the scoreboard with Rohit Sharma top scorer of 49 from 35 balls. Rajasthan Royals started chasing with a high note, Michael Lumb scored 45 and some powerful shots by Yusuf Pathan who scored 73 from 34 balls (8 sixes) helped them to win the match by 8 wickets in 15.4 overs.

Yusuf Pathan was the 'Man of the Match' award for his 73 runs off 34 deliveries. Kamaal catch award went to Jhunjunwala for the catch he took to dismiss Rahul Sharma.
