Result: Deccan Chargers won by 10 runs

Deccan Chargers won the toss and elected to bat first. Though none of the batsman scored a fifty but all of the top orders contributed to take the final score 171/6. Rohit Sharma was the top scorer with 45 in 30 balls from DC. Daredevils started their innings well with some super shots from David Warner who scored 57 from 38 runs. But after his unfortunate run out, Chargers took control of the game. Good bowling and fielding helped them to restrict Delhi Daredevils into 161 run in 20 overs.

Andrew Symonds was the Man of the match for his all-round effort. This the third consecutive victory fro Chargers while defeat for Daredevils.

  • 2 Rohit Sharma became only the second Indian batsman to aggregate 1,500 runs in Twenty20 matches after Gautam Gambhir. 
  • 6 Andrew Symonds became the sixth player to perform the all-round feat of scoring 25 runs and taking 3 wickets in the same match, and the first one to do so in IPL 2010. The other cricketers to perform this feat are: Dwayne Bravo, Shane Watson, Yusuf Pathan, Yuvraj Singh and Rohit Sharma. 
  • 6 Number of extras in the match, equaling the record of least extras in an IPL match. 
  • 19 Both AB de Villiers and Herschelle Gibbs have now taken 19 catches. Only Suresh Raina - with 20 - is ahead of these two. 
  • 35 Number of sixes conceded by Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2010 – most by any side. They have scored only 19 themselves.
